Kitchen Sink Sundae

Fans of the ginormous Kitchen Sink Sundae at Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World Resort will be happy to know that the indulgent bowl of ice cream is now also a treat at Disney California Adventure.

That same sink, not nearly so full, is also on the menu at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream at Disney California Adventure park. This version is vanilla ice cream drizzled with hot fudge and topped with chocolate chips and a cherry, served with two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Cost is $11.99.

The adorable red sink is yours to keep and carry home as a souvenir of your Disney indulgence, and Beaches & Cream now uses the same keepable sink.

We’ll be on the lookout for pirates, princesses, villains and party animals at the Rock Your Disney Side 24-Hour Event on May 23, but most of all we’ll be scouting for all the tastes we don’t normally find on any Disneyland Resort menu. We’re pacing ourselves from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m.!

Doc McStuffins

Dottie “Doc” McStuffins will be making special appearances at Disney California Adventure park, for a limited time beginning May 5 and continuing through the end of July. You’ll be able to meet her in Hollywood Land near “Disney Junior – Live on Stage!”

Since debuting in 2012, “Doc McStuffins” has become one of the most popular shows on Disney Junior. Doc is a nurturing, six-year-old girl who can talk to the stuffed animals and toys she cares for in her playhouse clinic, diagnosing their “ouchies” with help from her mom (a real doctor) and her Big Book of Boo Boos. The acclaimed, Emmy-nominated series airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

If you have a little one in your family who would love to meet Doc McStuffins, you’ll want to head out to Disney California Adventure park this summer. Soon, you’ll all be singing, “I feel better, so much better!”

Maleficent PosterThis spring, Walt Disney Studios’ latest cinematic vision, “Maleficent,” will cast its spell at Disney Parks in the form of an exclusive look at one of the summer’s most anticipated films. Starting April 18, a special extended sneak peek will be playing daily at Disney California Adventure park in the naturalistic “underground” setting of the Bug’s Life Theater.

“Maleficent” stars Angelina Jolie in the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant, Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.

“Maleficent” opens in theaters on May 30, 2014.

Three Kings Day celebration moves to Disney California Adventure park this weekend. Friday, Jan. 3, through Monday, Jan. 6, guests can enjoy even more festive fun in Paradise Garden.

Three Kings Day Celebration

Three Kings Day, also known as Dia de los Reyes Magos, is celebrated in many Latin American countries as part of the Christmas story. It commemorates the day the three kings (the magi or “wise men”) followed the star to Bethlehem and presented their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Now part of Disney ¡Viva Navidad!, our Three Kings Day celebration will offer even more delicious food, Latin-inspired entertainment and interactive elements than ever before.
