Twenty-five years ago Splash Mountain opened to the public and I was there. In honor of my first visit, Annual Passholders who visit Splash Mountain can receive a poster honoring the 25th anniversary of the attraction from July 16-18.

Distribution will be across from the Splash Mountain exit, near Pooh Corner. Guests are not required to ride the attraction.
From the studio that brought you “The Avengers” comes a new team. They call themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy, and they’re the crew at the epicenter of one of this summer’s biggest movie events. Starting July 4, “Guardians of the Galaxy” is coming to Disney Parks with an exclusive sneak peek, offering guests an extended look at the film before it opens in theaters.
At Disneyland park in California, you can catch this limited time intergalactic preview in 3D with special in-theater effects at the Magic Eye Theater in Tomorrowland, where Captain EO is typically shown. Captain EO is expected to return at a later date.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” finds space adventurer Peter Quill the object of a bounty hunt after stealing an orb coveted by a treacherous villain, but when Quill discovers the power it holds, he must find a way to rally the quartet of ragtag rivals hot on his trail to save the universe.
“Guardians of the Galaxy,” releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.
The Disneyland resort thinks your Mondays could use a little Disney Magic. This summer starts its #GetHappier campaign.
Every Monday this summer (now through Labor Day), Disneyland Resort will be surprising and delighting guests and fans with fun ways to #GetHappier … it could be online, in the real world … you never know where the magic will be made!

Disneyland fans have been begging to bring Star Wars Weekends to the Happiest Place on the West Coast. Disney announced the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland on January 15-18, 2015.
Whether you’re a runDisney veteran, a first-time rookie or even a Wookiee, Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend at the Disneyland Resort is going to be a fantastic weekend – and another great reason to runDisney. So may the Force, or should I say the Course, be with you!
Now if an invitation and Jedi mind tricks from some marketing guy at runDisney isn’t enough, maybe this message Lord Vader himself will convince you to join him to complete your training.
On May 23, you’ll have more reasons than using the HOV lane to carpool. During the “Rock Your Disney Side” 24-hour event, we will offer the following incentives for cars with four or more passengers who are parking at a Disneyland Resort parking lot:
All guests and Annual Passholders without pre-paid parking will receive a discounted parking rate of $8 (for a standard vehicle) when arriving with four or more passengers.
Annual Passholders with pre-paid parking will receive one voucher for one free popcorn scoop and one bottled beverage, redeemable at any Disneyland or Disney California Adventure park outdoor vending cart. At least one passenger in the vehicle must be a valid Annual Passholder with pre-paid parking privileges.
All Annual Passholders and their passengers can also receive a special Toy Story commuter button. At least one passenger in the vehicle must be a valid Annual Passholder. And don’t be late – button quantity is limited and will be given while supplies last!
Remember – each car must contain at least four passengers, oversize vehicles are not eligible for a carpool discount, parking is subject to capacity and these benefits are subject to restrictions or change without notice.
