Video game producer EA and DICE made a special presentation at Star Wars Celebration 2015 in Anaheim. The Geek Lab has a sneak peek to the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront. Available on all major platforms both consoles and PC.
Star Wars Battlefront will allow fans to live out a wide range of heroic moments and intense battle fantasies of their own – firing blasters, riding speeder bikes and snow speeders, commanding AT-ATs and piloting TIE fighters and the Millennium Falcon. These battles will take place on some of the most iconic planets in the Star Wars universe, including Endor, Hoth, Tatooine and the previously unexplored planet, Sullust. Gamers will be able to play as some of the most memorable characters in the original trilogy such as Darth Vader and Boba Fett. Star Wars Battlefront will feature a wide range of modes tailored for different types of battles, from larger 40-person competitive multiplayer to crafted missions that are played solo, with a friend via split-screen offline or co-operatively online.
In creating the game, the developers at DICE and executives at LucasFilm wanted to make sure that fans had the best Star Wars experience possible. DICE artists and programmers were given the keys to the Lucas Archives where they made 3D scans of all the weapons and props from the original film. Makers wanted to ensure that you were playing with the real toys in the game. DICE also visited the actual sets and use PBR (Physical Based Rendering) to recreate the exact locations as used in the film.
If that wasn’t enough, DICE had access to Skywalker Ranch for access to the sound of Star Wars. The game sound was produced in Dolby Atmos for high-quality 3D sound for the PC.
Fans who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront will be among the first players to experience the Battle of Jakku*, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™. Players who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront can fight the battle one-week early starting on December 1, 2015. All other players will get access to this free† content on December 8, 2015.

PC Players Join Garden Warfare’s Existing Fans In PopCap’s Hilarious, Critically-Acclaimed Shooter

The first project to come out of Legendary Digital Media will be a full-length digital feature based on Capcom’s zombie videogame franchise “Dead Rising.” The feature, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and written by Tim Carter, will stream exclusively on Sony’s Crackle website.
Crackle will have the domestic rights to “Dead Rising,” which will be distributed internationally by Content Media Corp.
“Dead Rising” takes place during a large-scale zombie outbreak. When a mandatory government vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, the four leads must evade infection while also pursuing the root of the epidemic, with all signs pointing to a government conspiracy.

At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Ubisoft® announced the development of both Just Dance® 2015 and Just Dance® Now. Just Dance 2015 is the latest installment of the world’s #1 dance game franchise and will be available on all motion-control gaming platforms on October 23 in EMEA (October 24th in the UK) and in October in the US. Just Dance Now creates the most accessible version of Just Dance yet by enabling players to dance anywhere, anytime with anyone. Assassin’s Creed® Unity Available in stores on October 28
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Ubisoft announced that the next installment of the 76 million unit-selling Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Unity, will be released worldwide on October 28. Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released on Xbox One video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Unity is being developed by the veteran Assassin’s Creed team in Ubisoft Montreal with support from nine Ubisoft studios around the world*. Set in a once-magnificent Paris, Assassin’s Creed Unity plunges into the terror of the 1789 French Revolution and features the most dense and immersive Assassin’s Creed city ever created. Through the streets of Paris, the starving inhabitants are set to take up arms for freedom and equality. In this time of chaos and brutality, a young man named Arno, wounded by the loss of those he loved, sets on a deadly path of redemption. Arno’s pursuit throws him into the middle of a ruthless struggle for the fate of a nation, and transforms him into a true Master Assassin.
